Alex Studio: privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-08
Alex Studio makes documentary films for its own YouTube channel and shares short clips from them on its own Instagram account and its own Facebook Page. This page describes the Alex Studio app, the studio's own software, and the data it handles.
YouTube API Services
The Alex Studio app uses YouTube API Services. When you watch or interact with the studio's videos on YouTube, the YouTube Terms of Service apply: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
How Google handles data is described in the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
What the app does
- It uploads the studio's own videos to the studio's own YouTube channel.
- It reads that channel's own statistics, such as views and watch time.
- It reads the public comments that viewers leave on the studio's own videos.
- It writes one public source list for each film to the studio's own Google Drive.
- It posts the studio's own short clips to the studio's own Instagram account and Facebook Page.
The app acts only on the studio's own accounts. It does not ask viewers to sign in, and it never acts on anyone else's account.
What it collects, uses and keeps
- The channel's own statistics, and the public comments on the studio's own videos.
- They are stored on the studio's own server and used only to understand how the films are received and to make better films.
- Comments are deleted after 8 days.
- When a video is deleted, everything stored about it is deleted too.
- The app collects nothing else about viewers. It only sees what YouTube, Instagram and Facebook already show the channel's owner.
Who else sees it
The studio's software uses Anthropic's Claude service to read and summarise these statistics and comments for the studio. Nothing is shared with anyone else, used for advertising, or sold.
How to remove access
The app works only with the studio's own accounts. If you have ever given any app access to your Google account, you can see and remove that access here: https://myaccount.google.com/connections
For apps connected to Facebook or Instagram, use Settings, then Apps and websites: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=applications
Questions about privacy
Send privacy questions through this form: https://forms.gle/1TqgH9VXmaCcUt9Y6
The form asks for your message and, only if you want an answer, a reply address you choose to give. Messages arrive in the studio's own Google account, where only the studio's owner reads them. Each message is deleted once it has been answered, and after 90 days at most.
